Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with a warm copper glow and a touch of mahogany at the rim.
Nose
Sherry-soaked aromas of raisin and orange zest mingle with toasted almond, dark cocoa and silky toffee. Warming vanilla and spice lift a rich fruitcake core, with a touch of oak and light malt smoke.
Palate
Silky, medium-bodied palate loaded with sherried richness: dark raisins, fig, and burnt sugar bloom into cocoa and toffee, framed by walnut and well-integrated oak. Bright orange zest and subtle spice weave through the tail, finishing with warm tannins and a lingering nutty sweetness.
Finish
Long, refined finish of dried fruit, cacao and toasty oak, with sherry sweetness lingering softly, evolving into warm spice and a hint of almond as it fades.
