This Single Malt has been matured exclusively in a First Fill Ex-Bourbon barrel for at least twelve years. The craft of Whisky-making and the alchemy of cask, spirit and time are embodied perfectly. Each cask tells its own story and its yeld is, by nature, one of a kind.
Whilst no two casks will ever produce and identical Single Malt, because of the careful sampling and selection by Balvenie's Malt Master, the Balvenie Single Barrel has a consistent character which is rich and complex, with a deep vanilla oakiness. Honey notes are overlaid with sweet fruits and subtle spices. The finish is lingeringly sweet.

Nose
An inviting nose of warm vanilla and toasty oak, honeyed sweetness and ripe orchard fruits, with a whisper of spice. First-fill bourbon influence lends caramel depth and a luminous, refined sweetness, hinting at the whisky’s aged, single-cask character.
Palate
Rich and opulent on the palate, with a creamy mouthfeel and bold vanilla oak from first-fill Ex-Bourbon. Layered honey sweetness, ripe orchard fruits, and subtle spice unfold in elegant waves, finishing with a lingering, mellow sweetness that remains warmly balanced.
Finish
Lingeringly sweet, the finish unfurls with honeyed vanilla and rich oak, then a gentle fruit and spice warmth that lingers long on the palate.
