Nose

Opulent sherry nose with dark plum, fig and raisin, balanced by honeyed barley sweetness and toasted oak. Vanilla and toffee mingle with spice as the malt breathes, while subtle leather and dried fruit notes lend a graceful, aged richness.

Palate

Velvet and full, this Balvenie layers honeyed sweetness with dark fig and raisin, framed by almond and toffee. Sherry-tinged oak adds depth, while a waxy barley richness underpins the palate. Nutmeg and cinnamon drift in, yielding a long, polished finish of orange zest and cocoa.

Finish

Long, refined finish with warm sherry sweetness and velvety oak. Raisin and orange zest notes emerge slowly, folding into gentle spice and silky tannins, leaving a lasting, honeyed glow.

(bal-VENN-ee) Founded in 1889 by William Grant, Balvenie is located next to the giant Glenfiddich distillery on the outskirts of Dufftown in Speyside. The distillery employs traditional whisky making methods, being one of the few to retain its original floor maltings and on site cooperage. The Balvenie single malt is typically rich, luxuriously smooth, and has a distinctive honeyed character.
