The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Old is a beautifully balanced Speyside single malt that showcases the distillery’s renowned expertise in wood management. Initially matured in traditional ex-bourbon barrels, it is then finished in European oak sherry casks, giving it added depth, sweetness, and complexity.
This dual cask maturation process results in a whisky that perfectly combines The Balvenie’s signature honeyed character with rich notes of dried fruit, warm spice, and toasted oak. Smooth, elegant, and incredibly approachable, DoubleWood 12 is a true benchmark Speyside malt and one of the most popular premium single malts in the world.
Best enjoyed neat or with a drop of water to fully appreciate its layered character, The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Old is a refined and versatile dram suitable for both new and experienced whisky drinkers.
