Tasting Notes

Colour

Sunlit gold with warm amber hues and a delicate coppery sheen.

Nose

Soft honeyed sweetness rises first, followed by orchard fruits and vanilla. Subtle sherry warmth brings dried fig, almond, and raisin, weaving with nutmeg and gentle oak. A creamy, velvety core hints at a refined, mature balance despite its youth, leaving a warm, lingering finish.

Palate

Silky, honeyed and smooth, the palate reveals orchard fruit, vanilla and subtle spice, supported by sherry-driven depth. Dried fig and cocoa mingle with toasted oak, delivering a warm, lingering finish.

Finish

Silky, lingering finish of honeyed vanilla, dried orchard fruits and gentle sherry-spice, fading to warmed oak with a final kiss of almond.

Balvenie
(bal-VENN-ee) Founded in 1889 by William Grant, Balvenie is located next to the giant Glenfiddich distillery on the outskirts of Dufftown in Speyside. The distillery employs traditional whisky making methods, being one of the few to retain its original floor maltings and on site cooperage. The Balvenie single malt is typically rich, luxuriously smooth, and has a distinctive honeyed character.
