Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a mahogany-tinged core.
Nose
Sherry-soaked richness unfurls with dark raisin, fig and date, brightened by orange zest and red berries. Sun-warmed toffee, cocoa, and figgy pudding mingle with leather, tobacco and toasted oak. A delicate vanilla and waxy polish adds elegance, while baking spices—cinnamon and clove—linger into a long, refined finish.
Palate
Full-bodied and warmly rich, this Balmenach delivers cask-strength depth with a velvety, resinous oak backbone. Dried prune, fig and raisin unfold alongside cocoa, espresso and orange zest, while cinnamon and clove spice accents rise softly. The finish is long and refined, with a touch of oak and a lingering sweetness.
Finish
Silky, enduring finish at natural cask strength. Warmth carries vanilla and a touch of spice, slowly yielding to refined oak with a gentle orchard-fruit sweetness that lingers long and gracefully.
