Bottled by Signatory Vintage at cask strength, this Balmenach was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2026 at 17 years old. Matured in a single Oloroso sherry cask and bottled at 57.8% ABV, it is a full-bodied Speyside single malt with a style shaped as much by the cask as by the distillery’s naturally weighty spirit.
Oloroso casks tend to suit Balmenach particularly well, bringing extra depth and richness to a whisky that already has plenty of structure.

Raisins and dark toffee weave with orange peel and cocoa, embraced by polished oak and a gentle, warming spice that hints at the sherry-inflected richness.
Palate
Rich and mouth-coating, the palate unfolds with dried fruit and treacle, threaded by dark chocolate and orange-peel zest. Sweet spices bloom against seasoned sherry oak, delivering a full-bodied, warming texture that lingers with a long, refined echo of cocoa and oak.
