This 10-year-old Balmenach was initially matured in refill hogshead before a finishing period in a first-fill bourbon quarter cask, then bottled at the Equinox & Solstice series’ trademark 48.5% ABV. With 233 bottles released, it offers a bright and generously textured take on Balmenach, with the quarter cask adding extra sweetness and weight to the distillate.
The result is a vibrant seasonal whisky, full of yellow fruits, pollen, honey and soft vanilla sweetness. It feels plump, waxy and effortlessly drinkable, with enough body to carry Balmenach’s robust character while keeping the overall style lively and inviting.

Colour
Bright golden honey with sunlit amber undertones, a warm, waxy glow.
Nose
Sun-drenched aromas of golden syrup over breakfast cereals, orange marmalade, yellow plums and baked apple, with a silky custard note.
Palate
Richly textured and waxy on the palate, it releases green and yellow orchard fruits with a gentle pepper note, and a mouth-filling sweetness that lingers invitingly.
Finish
A medium-length finish that lingers with warm ale and rustic bread, carried by cedarwood, pollen and a bright kiss of citrus curds.
