Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with coppery highlights and mahogany undertones.
Nose
Sherry-bathed and mature, this nose unfurls with dried fruits—plum, fig, raisin—woven with orange zest, toffee and dark chocolate. Rich vanilla and polished oak form a warm spine, while cinnamon and clove introduce a refined spice. Subtle roasted malt and a whisper of noble barley sweetness linger, inviting the palate to follow Cragganmore’s depth.
Palate
Full, velvety and richly sherried, this Cragganmore coats the palate with dark fruit—prune, fig and raisin—accented by orange zest and cocoa. Spices bloom—clove and cinnamon—over toasted oak. The natural cask strength adds warmth and depth, delivering a long, lingering finish with coffee, leather and a final touch of sweetness.
Finish
Long, velvety finish with sherry depth from the cask. Dried fruits—raisin and fig—mingle with dark cocoa and toasted almond, lifted by orange zest and a touch of spice. The cask-strength warmth lingers, evolving into a refined, oak-kissed sweetness that slowly fades into a resinous, lasting finish.
