Part of Diageo’s annual Distillers Edition range, this Cragganmore expression is a double-matured Speyside single malt that builds on the distillery’s classic style. After its initial maturation in traditional oak casks, the whisky is finished in Port-seasoned casks, adding an extra layer of fruit richness and sweetness to the spirit. Bottled at 40% ABV, it offers a softer, more rounded take on Cragganmore’s elegant character.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Mellow in feel, and complex. Immediately sweetly, winey and fruity, then dense and more mysterious, with a wisp of smoke later on.
Palate
Firm and lightly oily in texture, sweet to start and soft at first on the palate, with juicy hints of wine and fruit. The sweetness is nicely balanced by light wood-spice and a smoky undertone.
Finish
Medium length, tingling and drying, while still appetisingly spicy, the oakiness hinting at vanilla and finally, cocoa.
