Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a lush mahogany core and ruby-tinged edges; a warm, chestnut glow that reveals generous sherry influence.
Nose
Intense peat smoke entwined with a lush sherry blanket: dried figs and raisins, orange zest, dark chocolate and toffee. Spices rise—cinnamon and clove—while leather and a whisper of sea air linger through the velvety first-fill sherry perfume.
Palate
On the palate, bold, velvety peat envelopes dark fruit—prune, fig and raisin—with rich first-fill sherry sweetness. Cocoa, orange zest and vanilla spice weave through glossy oak as the 58.4% warmth cushions the mouth. The finish is long and smoky, drying, with nutty depth and a final espresso-like note.
Finish
Long, warming finish where peat threads through a cloak of sherry influence. Dried fruit—fig and plum—mingle with dark chocolate, almond and spice. The smoke lingers, yielding cocoa‑oak sweetness that fades to a velvety, lingering warmth.
