Distilled using barley which has been infused with peat to a level of at least 50ppm during the drying process, the spirit produced is then matured in the finest oak casks from the USA. Ballechin's commitment to quality means that no casks will be used for more than two maturation cycles.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich, sunlit amber with coppery glow and hints of mahogany.
Nose
Sweet honey entwines with peat smoke and iodine, followed by dried fruit and a mix of nuts, inviting a warm, savory aroma.
Palate
Subtle smoke lifts the oak spices, balanced by the sweetness of barley sugar and exotic fruits. Rich notes of pomegranate and warm caramel emerge, finished with a hint of leather.
Finish
Long, smoke-kissed finish of peat and oak spice, carried by barley sweetness. Dark fruit, pomegranate and caramel fade to hints of leather as warm, resinous smoke lingers into a lasting ember.
