Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark coppery amber with a wine-bronze halo and a faint ruby glow.
Nose
Peat smoke weaves through a rich core of red fruits—cherry and raspberry—infused by Burgundian wine. Velvet plum and fig deepen with cocoa, vanilla and toasted oak, while subtle spice and a whisper of leather complete the aromatic profile.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, this peated malt coats the palate with smoked peat and Burgundy-driven fruit. Ripe cherry and plum mingle with dark chocolate, espresso and toasted oak, while spice—clove and pepper—adds definition. The wine influence lingers, balanced by mouth-coating tannins and a warm, persistent finish.
Finish
Long, peat-forward finish tempered by Burgundy wine cask influence. Smoke lingers with dark cherries, blackberry and a touch of cocoa, while refined tannins drift through the palate. A velvety, resinous warmth persists, weaving spice into the smoky finish and leaving a wine-sweet, elegant glow that slowly fades.
