Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Opulent sherry notes envelope the glass: ripe fig and raisin mingle with orange zest, toffee and dark caramel. Walnut and almond emerge, spiced by clove and cinnamon, while vanilla-tinged oak lends warmth. A whisper of leather adds vintage refinement to this Highland bouquet.
Palate
Silky and opulent on the palate, this Balblair delivers a full, warm mouthful of dried fig and raisin, balanced by orange peel, toffee and vanilla. Sherried depths bring dark chocolate, cocoa and spice—nutmeg and clove—while toasted oak lends gentle tannin. Rich, velvety texture with a long, warming finish of fruit, caramel and resinous wood.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish with dark sherry fruits—figs and raisins—layered with orange zest and toffee, slowly fading into warm spice and polished oak; a lingering echo of cacao and ginger that invites the next sip.
