Colour

Radiant amber-gold with warm coppery undertones.

Nose

Opulent and velvety, the aroma unfurls red-fruit elegance with wine-dark sweetness. Cassis, blackberry and ripe plum mingle with vanilla, caramel and toasted oak. Subtle cocoa and spice lift, while hints of balsamic and cedar lend refinement. The Bordeaux finish threads through with winey, glossy complexity.

Palate

Silky and warm, the palate opens with creamy sweetness that coats the tongue. Bordeaux finish fans plush red fruit—blackberry, blackcurrant, cherry—woven with vanilla, gentle spice, and a hint of cocoa. Subtle oak and a refined tannic backbone provide structure, while a citrus zest lift brightens the mid-palate. Long, elegant finish with persistent fruit and wine nuance.

Finish

Long and refined, the finish is Bordeaux‑kissed, with dark cherry and blackcurrant mingling with vanilla and muted spice. Silky tannins frame a warm oak echo that lingers softly, a polished, lingering warmth.

Auchentoshan
(OCH-en-TOSH-an) Auchentoshan was officially established in 1823, with earlier roots at Duntocher on the western edge of Glasgow. It became one of the few surviving Lowland malt distilleries in the late 20th century, passing through several owners before Eadie Cairns rebuilt the site after acquiring it in 1969. Stanley P. Morrison bought Auchentoshan in 1984, and Suntory acquired Morrison Bowmore in 1994.
