A single sherry cask Arran distillery bottling, this 21 year old was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2018 from cask number 018 at 42.4% ABV. Limited to 179 bottles and matured in sherry wood.
Sherry maturation brings richer dried fruit and spice influence to Arran’s generally clean, island-influenced style, adding depth and subtle complexity to the distillery’s malt-forward character in a long-aged, small-outturn release.

Colour

Nose
Sherry-rich nose with dried figs, raisins and dark cherries, woven with cocoa, toasted almond and warming spice. Subtle orange zest and balsamic lift the depth, while Arran’s clean malt and a touch of oak lend a refined maritime edge.
Palate
On the palate, a velvety tide of dried fruit—raisin, fig, prune—unfolds under sherry warmth. Rich almond, toffee and cocoa fuse with malt sweetness, while cinnamon and clove add refined spice. Subtle oak lends structure, and a whisper of maritime salt carries through to a long, balanced finish.

Long, stately finish infused by the sherry cask: honeyed fig and raisin sweetness settles into warm spice and cocoa, with a delicate almond-nut character and a touch of oak that lingers gracefully.
