Arran Flying Peacock Single Cask #29 Whisky 10 Year Old · 1999 Vintage
Out of stock
A single cask Arran distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2009 at a natural cask strength of 58.1% ABV, this limited release was drawn from an Amontillado sherry butt and produced just 709 bottles. Originally released as part of the Flying Peacock series for a specialist retailer, it represents one of the distillery’s early single cask bottlings.
Sherry cask maturation adds layers of dried fruit, nutty richness and spice, complementing Arran’s naturally bright, fruity and citrus-led spirit with added depth and structure in a powerful, limited single cask release.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-bronze and mahogany undertones, a warm burnished gold core.
Nose
Bright citrus and orchard fruit lift the nose, then deepen with amontillado sherry notes: dried apricot, raisin and fig, toasted almond and walnut, and a peppery-spice edge of clove and nutmeg. A restrained sweetness carries toffee and cocoa, while the nutty maturation lends structure to Arran’s lively, citrus-led character.
Palate
Powerful, full-bodied palate from Amontillado sherry cask: dried figs and raisins with almond and walnut, braided with warming spice. Arran’s bright citrus and orchard fruit lift the richness, giving a lively balance, while nutty oak and a silky, slightly oily texture carry into a long, spice-driven finish.
Finish
Long, sherry-fueled finish with citrus-driven brightness, dried fig and almond, and a nutty spice that lingers warmly. A poised, oak-kissed dryness extends the warmth, leaving a refined, dessert-like depth.
