Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with a coppery sheen and a whisper of mahogany.
Nose
Aromas pour forth with ardent peat smoke softened by rich sherry influence: dark plum and fig, raisin, and burnt sugar. Vanilla and cocoa nibs drift through, with orange zest, leather, and a touch of espresso. At cask strength, the aroma is opulent and concentrated, revealing Ardmore’s old-school peat paired with refined sherry integration.
Palate
Powerful peat and coastal brine envelope the palate, balanced by rich sherry sweetness. Full-bodied and warming, with vanilla, dried fruit and cocoa, then toasted almond. A long, assertive finish of spice, leather and charred oak lingers.
Finish
Long, smoky finish with sherry‑soaked fruit, dark chocolate and raisin, lifted by peppery spice. Peat lingers in a warm, resinous glow as the oak fades into velvet.
