Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Rising herbal pine and fennel mingle with citrus lime sorbet and medicinal lozenge, while eucalyptus and saddle soap drift on the breeze. A splash of water releases hazelnut, sweet vanilla, and currants, culminating in rich minted chocolate.
Palate
An intense wave of wood smoke sweeps the palate, leaving ripples of dark chocolate and ground coffee in its wake. Sweeter lemon curd and peanut brittle cut through to unveil creamy raisin fudge and hazelnut. From the smoky depths, menthol, lemongrass, aniseed, clove and white pepper emerge with medicinal, spicy echoes.
Finish
Sweet peat collides with creamy vanilla fudge and dark cocoa, carried by a warm, woody clove tingle. The finish is sharp, intense, and satisfyingly long, leaving a smoky, spice-laced echo on the palate.
