The second batch of Ardbeg's 19 Year Old Whisky, Traigh Bhan has arrived. Produced in a single batch each year, each annual batch of Traigh Bhan will feature a unique code on the carton, bottle and foot label.
The Singing Sands is the local name for Islay’s beautiful Traigh Bhan beach. For this captivating place has white soft sands that sing beneath your feet, a hum that ebbs and flows with Islay’s winds and tides.
This rare, small batch 19 Year Old Ardbeg reveals captivating notes of gentle, wood smoke, with gusts of fresh sea spray and eucalyptus on the nose. An oily mouthfeel leads into rich fudge, before smoky peat and aniseed crash down on the palate. Savoury and smoke collage in a sharp, intense and satisfyingly long finish.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark copper with rich amber and mahogany hues, a sun-kissed glow hinting at sherry-cask maturation.
Nose
Sweet wood smoke and tart crème fraîche give way to savoury fennel, celeriac and roasted tea leaves. Charcoal and lightly burnt toast unfold, then a spray of sea air with eucalyptus oil and pine. The aroma closes with saddle soap and leather.
Palate
An intensely salty mouthfeel rolls in like the tide, giving way to soothing medicinal notes, salted peanut brittle, smoked pineapple and lime juice. Waves of aniseed crest over the palate as rich fudge, birch tar and peat smoke crash through, delivering a bold, long finish.
Finish
Savoury and smoky notes collide in a sharp, intense, yet satisfyingly long finish.
