Colour
Jet-black with a subtle ruby glow at the rim.
Nose
Baked summer fruit pudding, cedar wood and cigar-box smoke, smoky jam tarts, oak tannins and earthy truffles. With a splash of water, an intense bitter-cherry note emerges, a salty-savoury nuance, and perfumed violet whispers.
Palate
A velvety, mouth-coating texture unfolds into a symphony of contrasts—savory and sweet at once. Aniseed and soot, summer fruits (cherries, strawberries, apricots and pears), pastry/cake mix, dark chocolate, coffee, with bitter cherries and almond lingering.
Finish
Long, lingering and sooty, this finish coats the palate with wisps of peat smoke and char, then slowly reveals hints of dark chocolate, espresso and bitter cherry, leaving a warm, refined glow.
