Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with a warm honey glow and a hint of mahogany at the rim.
Nose
Herbal and citrus-forward on the nose, with a honeyed sweetness that hints at warmth. As it unfolds, clove oil, coffee and hickory rise with peat and coastal brine—seaweed and smoked fish—while treacle and smoky tarmac lend a bold, Islay finish.
Palate
Peppery and bold on the palate, with clove oil, espresso-like coffee and smoky hickory. Seaweed and a whisper of smoked fish mingle with citrus, while runny honey and black treacle coat the tongue. Warming, tarmac-styled minerality and hot damp stone notes drive a deeply smoky, lasting finish.
Finish
Vivid citrus gives way to runny honey, with warming tarmac and hot damp stones wrapped in black treacle and smoke. The finish lingers like a night after a cigar—big, bold, and irresistibly smoky.
