Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with copper-bronze sheen and hints of mahogany.
Nose
Gentle ripples of smoky pineapple mingle with soured cream and wisps of wood smoke. Newly planed oak and supple dark leather provide a luxurious backbone, while hints of toffee and licorice draw you in. A splash of water releases unexpected notes: struck flint, pine resin and coal tar, then citrusy lime sherbet and a whisper of vanilla cheesecake.
Palate
Peaty power floods the palate, diving into smoky depths with a generous salty spine. Sweet and sour notes of smoked chili chocolate and paprika mingle with waves of toasted oak and roasted tea leaves, before easing into peppermint fondant and salted white chocolate.
Finish
Firm but gentle, waves of wood smoke carry through the palate into a long, refined finish. A peat-kissed glow lingers, with ember sweetness fading softly, leaving a coastal, smoke-hued reverie long after the sip ends.
