Tasting Notes
Colour
Mahogany.
Nose
Curiously dry and almost musty, like a damp warehouse floor. With a splash of water, it unfurls oily, nutty notes—roasted Brazil nut and fragrant woodsmoke—brightened by a distinctive herbal top note.
Palate
Peppery and warming on the palate, with flavours of smoked cashew and pecan nuts, smoky toffee, brown sugar, cinnamon, clove and tar. A very long, bittersweet finish, with huge layers of salty, tarry peat smoke, aniseed, leather and bonfire embers.
