The 14th batch of Ardbeg from TBWC, a 12 year old offering, bottled at cask strength and a release of 1928 bottles.
The bottle label depicts legendary Ardbeg collector Geert Bero, and founder of the Ardbeg bar at hotel Bero, Belgium.
A very savoury nose of BBQ smoke, cured meat and woody spice. The palate shows all the classic Ardbegian qualities, citrus, a sweet creme brulee note, seaweed, tar and smoke. The finish is long and persistant with an oily nuttiness and sea salt edge to compliment the smoke.
