Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with copper-gold highlights and a whisper of ruby at the rim.
Nose
Baked summer fruit pudding sits with cedarwood and cigar-box smoke, smoky jam tarts, oak tannins and truffles. With a splash of water, an intense bitter-cherry note sharpens the aroma, a saline savoury edge surfaces, and a delicate violet perfume lingers.
Palate
Silky, mouth-coating on entry, then a bold tapestry of savory and sweet. Aniseed and soot mingle with summer fruit—cherries, strawberries, apricot and pear—alongside pastry-cake notes, dark chocolate, coffee and bitter almond, threading through to a long, indulgent finish.
Finish
Long, velvety, and deeply smoky, with layers of ashy peat that linger on the tongue. Bitter cherry and almond hints from the Pinot Noir cask influence drift through the finish, leaving a refined, enduring soot.
