Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, burnished amber with mahogany undertones and copper highlights.
Nose
Intense peat smoke rises, with iodine and sea-salt notes. Beneath, sherry delivers dried fig and prune, plus dark chocolate and orange zest. Toasted oak and vanilla deepen the aroma, while coastal mineral notes keep it bright and long-lasting.
Palate
On the palate, monumental peat and maritime brine ride a creosoted smoke that coats the tongue. Sherry-cask depth brings plush fig and raisin, cocoa, and orange zest, with warm spice and vanilla sweetness woven through a salted, mineral backbone. Rich and velvety yet razor‑sharp, the finish lingers with ember‑smoke, resinous oak, and a final kiss of iodine and espresso.
Finish
An enduring finish of peat and smoke, seafaring iodine and mineral brine slowly dissolve into velvety dried fruit and dark chocolate from the sherry cask. Layers of espresso and toasted oak emerge, with a warm peppery bite that lingers long on the palate, leaving a resinous, smoky echo.
