Tasting Notes
Colour
Pale straw-gold with a subtle sunlit glow.
Nose
Peat smoke and coastal iodine rise from the glass, threaded with sea-salt and lemon zest. Vanilla sweetness and oak balance the wave of medicinal herbs, with mineral undertones lingering for a distinctly maritime Ardbeg perfume.
Palate
Bright, maritime peat drives the palate, carrying zesty lemon and green apple with creamy vanilla. Brine and iodine deepen the depth as hints of cocoa and toasted oak emerge. Peppery spice lifts the mid-palate before a long, resinous, smoky finish that lingers with sea-salt sweetness and Ardbeg’s signature coastal fire.
Finish
Long, coastal finish of drying peat and sea-salt, with iodine and ash lingering, gradually melting into subtle vanilla sweetness and lemon zest.
