Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a copper-gold sheen and a whisper of mahogany. The sherry-matured hue radiates warmth, a rich, sunlit glow that hints at the whisky’s aged, single-cask character.
Nose
Powerful peat smoke dominates, backed by medicinal iodine and sea spray. Sherry-driven complexity unfurls with fig and raisin, dark chocolate, and a touch of vanilla, all wrapped in toasted oak. A citrus zest glints through, while a coastal brine threads the aroma. Rich, refined, and buoyed by age, the nose promises a deep, long-smoked character.
Palate
Intense, velvety palate of peat smoke and maritime brine, lifted by rich sherry sweetness. Dried fig, date and dark chocolate unfold with toasted almond and leather, while spicy warmth threads through. Long, saline finish of smoke, espresso and refined wood spice.
Finish
Uncompromising peat and ash linger on the finish, carried by maritime iodine and smoke. Rich sherry notes thread through the sweetness—dried fruit, fig and dark chocolate—before a warming fade of spice and vanilla that slowly slips away.
