Ardbeg 2002 Release Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 17 Year Old
Out of stock
This 17 year old bottled in 2002 is now a rare and much sought after Ardbeg bottling. Very different to most of the recent Ardbegs you may have sampled, in fact probably all too easy to finish a bottle without even realising! Sadly this exact less-peated flavour may never be repeatable. Complete with the original box and information booklet.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery highlights and a whisper of mahogany.
Nose
Faint peat smoke cloaks a saline, maritime nose—iodine, sea spray and polished oak. Sherry-softened fruit, raisin and fig, glows with toffee, cocoa and vanilla. Refined and lingering, a quiet coastal sweetness.
Palate
Silky and well balanced, this palate layers toffee, vanilla and dark chocolate with sherry-influenced dried fruit. A whisper of sea salt and peat keeps it buoyant, while spice and oak add focus. The finish lingers with fruit and a refined, gentle smokiness.
Finish
Long, refined finish with gentle coastal smoke and soft peat. Sherry-driven sweetness coats the palate with dried fruit, cocoa and vanilla, tapering to a creamy oak and sea-salt fade. Elegant, rare Ardbeg that lingers with quiet grace.
