Annandale Man O' Words Founder's Selection - Single Cask #613 Whisky 5 Year Old · 2016 Vintage
Out of stock
Since commencing production in November 2014, Annandale Distillery have adopted a ‘wood policy’ that aims to deliver both diversity of flavour along with the opportunity to mature Single Malts for relatively short or long periods of time, and everything in between.
This particular bottling was laid down in 2016 in a single STR ex-Burgundy cask, developing into a delightfully smooth and mellow Single Malt.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with a warm, wine-kissed ruby glow.
Nose
Opulent red-fruit aroma of ripe cherry, raspberry and cranberry, layered with warm vanilla. Subtle almond and cocoa notes rise through polished oak, while the ex-Burgundy cask threads in wine-touched spice and a touch of leather. A whisper of smoke lingers, hinting at a mellow, well-knit palate to follow.
Palate
Silky, rounded palate with a sun-warmed fruit core: cherry, plum and red berry mingled with vanilla and a whisper of toasted oak. Burgundy cask influence adds depth of spice—cinnamon, clove—plus a touch of cocoa. The 60.8% ABV delivers a measured warmth that never overwhelms; the finish is long and fruit-driven, with gentle oak and nutty notes lingering in a refined, mellow glow.
Finish
Silky, wine-kissed finish with ripe red fruit and vanilla sweetness, threaded by gentle oak spice. Raspberry and cherry fade to toasted notes, leaving a warm, velvety linger and a soft tannic kiss.
