Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with copper-gold highlights and a subtle mahogany glow.
Nose
Peat smoke wafts over a wine-kissed bouquet: red berries, plum and cherry mingle with vanilla and toasted oak. Ex-Burgundy cask adds cacao, spice and a quiet, charred warmth.
Palate
Oil-rich and peated, with a smoky backbone. Red-berry fruit from the ex-Burgundy cask partners with vanilla, caramel and a hint of clove. The whisky coats with a velvety mouthfeel, delivering toast, chocolate and spice, then a long, peppery finish framed by charred oak and warm peat smoke.
Finish
An extended, warming finish that clings to the palate with red-fruit sweetness—cherry and plum—intertwined with vanilla and toasted oak from the ex-Burgundy cask. A whisper of peat and spice persists, delivering a smoky, cocoa-dusted note that slowly fades to a glossy, lasting warmth.
