Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich, deep amber with mahogany undertones and a coppery glow.
Nose
Sherried richness on the nose, with warming cinnamon and nutmeg framed by vanilla. Apple and toffee sweetness mingle with oak and malt, while a subtle mint note threads through, giving a poised, inviting depth befitting a well-balanced 12-year-old Aberlour.
Palate
Weighty and well balanced on the palate, it delivers cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla with ripe apple and toffee, underpinned by malt and oak. A minty lift emerges mid-palate, guiding a drier finish that fades softly and leaves a warm, lingering glow.
Finish
A drier finish than the 10-year-old, fading softly and leaving a subtle echo of oak and malt.
