Tasting Notes

Nose

Pear drops, dried mango, pineapple, butterscotch, oak, and a little dry note.

Palate

Baked apple, brown sugar, the dried mangoes again, and pineapple juice, and plenty of spice oak.

Finish

Tropical fruits give way to butterscotch which gives way to woody spices and warmth.

(aber-LOW-er) Right in the centre of Aberlour village next to the banks of the Lour Burn the Aberlour distillery sits. In Gaelic Aberlour means “Mouth of the chattering burn”. Sadly in 1898 most of the Aberlour distillery was destroyed by a fire, however this led to the distillery being rebuilt and improvements made in the 1920s, after the second World War, the 1960s and also during the 1970s.
