Park Life Uncharted Whisky Co. Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 20 Year Old · 2004 Vintage

Here is an insight into the life of an independent bottler… Sometimes fantastic liquids land on the table of small independents. It’s a challenge to navigate - the liquids often come with a caveat such as “this was distilled at this particular fantastic distillery but you can’t use the name on the bottles”. It’s difficult because the liquid is great, the price is great, but the customer wants transparency on what they are drinking - which is fair enough.
So the team has to put on their thinking caps and work out the best way to keep everyone happy. Introducing Park Life, a short series of bottlings from a particularly delicious distiller’s repertoire in the Highland region of Scotland (if you didn’t know, all the islands of Scotland are classed as ‘Highland’ region except Islay). This isn’t from Islay. Or Mull. Or Skye. Or Jura. Or Arran.
This 20-year-old single malt has spent its entire maturation in an ex-bourbon cask, delivering a bright, elegant whisky that puts the distillery’s signature character front and centre. Sweet vanilla, subtle citrus, and soft heather combine with just the lightest wisp of smoke - a dram of beautiful balance and depth.
This whisky has been bottled as nature intended - un-chill filtered, natural colour, and without unnecessary intervention. As with all limited runs, this won’t last long… so it’s best enjoyed as a perfect day in the park.
