Translating as ‘Rare Cask’ in Gaelic, Casg Annamh is created from a limited number of carefully selected casks. These Spanish oak Oloroso Sherry casks/butts have a significant influence on the non-chill filtered liquid and perfectly complement Aberlour’s distillate flavour, bringing sweet and rich notes.
Casg Annamh is a distinctively rich Single Malt providing adventurous malt lovers with the ideal introduction to Sherry cask matured whiskies.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany edge, a warm, sunset glow from sherry-cask maturation.
Nose
Opulent and sweet, the nose opens with tangy orange zest, glazed cherries and raisins, lifted by a hint of ginger. Sherry-influenced richness from the Oloroso casks threads through the fruit, lending warmth and depth to Aberlour’s lush, inviting aroma.
Palate
Sweet and fruity notes continue on the palate, with apple and cinnamon crumble and ripe peaches, balanced by spicy liquorice and cloves. The finish is long and rich, fruity with a touch of dry spice.
Finish
Long and rich, the finish lingers with fruity sweetness—peach, orange and cherry—softly tempered by a dry spice, fading to a warm, polished glow.
