Aberlour The Mystery Of Aberlour - Kenny's Writing Desk Single Malt Scotch Whisky 10 Year Old
In stock
The St. Drostan's Well, found in the grounds of the Aberlour Distillery, marked the source of an exceptionally pure spring. This historic granite stone hints to an ancient past when a druid community occupied the small valley where the Aberlour distillery is found today. Indeed, the name Aberlour comes from the Gaelic translation of 'Mouth of the Chattering Burn'.
This site in Aberlour was the inspiration for James Fleming to build a disilery in 1819. A quiet, unassuming man, James Fleming was a philanthropist in the truest sense of the term and his unobtrusive generosity left a lasting mark on the village of Aberlour. He lived up to his family motto "Let the Deed Show" which appears on the bottle today. The purity of the spring water and richness of the natural environment drew Tounder is reflected in the generosity of this exceptional Speyside whisky.
Aberlour Single Malt achieves a remarkable harmony marrying subtle aromas of spice - cinnamon and nutmeg - with hints of autumn fruits. Aberlour has been recognised at the International Wine and Spirit Competicion and has three times been awarded their prestigious gold medal.
