Introducing the Diageo Special Releases 2023 - Spirited XChange. This year’s collection is designed to celebrate the global nature and influences of Scotch whisky.
It is the first Special Releases collection from Diageo master blender Dr Stuart Morrison and comprises eight single malts from the company’s prestigious distilleries.
To bring the Special Releases to life, eight artists from across the world were chosen to illustrate the stunning packaging design, as well as inspire the liquid selection and cask finishing.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich golden amber with warm copper highlights and a honeyed glow.
Nose
An elegant tapestry of toasted oak, sherry depth and coastal brightness. Notes of fig and prune, orange zest, vanilla cream and almond mingle with smoky barley, cocoa nibs and amber spice. A touch of sea salt and cedar lingers, hinting at the eight-distillery spectrum and the global influences of Spirited XChange.

Silky and multi-layered on the palate, this Spirited XChange collection unfolds with dried fruit, orange zest, and cocoa, lifted by warming spice and toasted oak. A refined sweetness lingers into a long, balanced finish, with cask-driven depth carrying across the eight distinctive single malts.
Finish
An expansive, lingering finish that unfolds like a global tapestry: warm spice and cocoa weave with subtle oak, while dried fruit sweetness hints at sherry cask influence. The finish stretches gracefully, leaving a refined, harmonious resonance that lingers well beyond the last sip.
