50% of the blend was married a combination of PX Quarter Casks and Palo Cortado seasoned hogshead casks. The rest married in ex bourbon hogshead casks.

Nose

Opulent sherry-driven aroma with dense dried fruit—raisin, fig, date—woven with orange peel and treacle. Cinnamon and vanilla from Palo Cortado and bourbon oak mingle with cocoa and toasted almond spice, while a warm, inviting core hints at leather.

Woven was founded in 2020 by Peter Allison, Duncan McRae and Nick Ravenhall, with the business launching in 2021 from Leith, Edinburgh. Rather than centring itself on one distillery, Woven was set up as a modern whisky maker focused on blending, with Leith chosen in part because of its long history as a whisky blending and trading hub.
