The royal wedding of H.R.H. The Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer is an historic event, to commemorate this Whyte & Mackay have created a unique twelve year old deluxe blend.

Only the finest selection of Highland malt whiskies and lowland grain whiskies have been carefully brought together and married for this very special creation.

Each single whisky has matured in oak casks for at least twelve long years. And then, in the age old tradition Whyte & Mackay have brought them together with loving care to create a fitting tribute to the Royal marriage.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Rich amber-gold with warm coppery highlights and a sunlit honey glow.

Nose

Sherry-draped fruit and warm oak lead the nose, with dark raisin, dried fig and orange zest mingling with vanilla cream and toffee. Almond paste adds depth as a subtle whisper of nutmeg and spice lingers, lending elegance to a refined, celebratory bouquet.

Palate

Silky, medium-bodied on the palate, this regal blend coats with honeyed malt and orchard fruit. Rich notes of toffee and almond fuse with gentle sherry-cask warmth, revealing dried fruits, a touch of spice, and velvety vanilla. Subtle oak adds depth, while the finish unfolds slowly with cocoa, citrus zest, and a refined, lingering sweetness.

Finish

Long, silky finish with warm spice and a delicate sherry sweetness. Dried fruit, orange zest and toasted oak unfold, yielding a refined cacao note and a whisper of almond that lingers gracefully.
