Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with mahogany hues and a coppery, honey-gold glow.
Nose
Opulent PX-driven aroma: plump raisins, figs and dates mingle with prune and treacle, a syrupy wealth of cacao and burnt sugar. Velvet oak threads vanilla, almond and spice, while espresso and a whisper of leather add depth to a wine-dark, aged bouquet.
Palate
Silky, opulent and deeply rich, the palate unfolds with fig, raisin and date from the Pedro Ximénez cask, layered over caramel, toffee and dark chocolate. Orange zest and espresso notes weave through polished oak and nutmeg-spiced warmth, while velvety tannins guide a long, persistent finish that closes with dried fruit sweetness and a hint of spice.
Finish
Luxuriously long, the finish bathes the palate in Pedro Ximénez sherry—ripe fig and raisin, dark toffee and cocoa—woven with orange zest and a subtle spice. Warm oak lingers, a final whisper of leather and tobacco, leaving a rich, velvety depth that echoes for minutes.
