About Tormore
(TOR-mor) Explore fruit-forward Tormore Speyside single malt, including official bottlings and rare independent single cask releases.
Pronounced TOR-mor, Tormore is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distillery near Grantown-on-Spey. Production began in 1959, making Tormore the first newly built Speyside distillery of the 20th century. Its striking distillery complex was designed with input from renowned architect Sir Albert Richardson and was created to complement its rural Speyside surroundings.
Tormore is known for a bright, elegant and fruit-forward spirit that was historically used extensively in blended Scotch whisky, although official and independent single malt bottlings have demonstrated its individual character. Elixir Distillers acquired Tormore in 2022 and has begun a renewed focus on the distillery as a standalone single malt, alongside the many aged and single cask releases bottled by independent producers.
