Tormore
(TOR-mor) Tormore was built for Long John Distillers between 1958 and 1960 near Grantown-on-Spey, becoming one of Scotland’s first new malt whisky distilleries of the 20th century. Designed by Sir Albert Richardson with Alexander Cullen, the granite and copper-roofed site is one of Speyside’s most distinctive distillery buildings and was granted listed status in 1986.
