Tormore Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky 16 Year Old
In stock
Tormore 16 Year Old is a well-balanced sherry cask matured single malt, offering subtle complexity alongside a full, fruit-forward profile. Bottled without chill filtration, it delivers a rich, creamy mouthfeel.
This whisky is double matured under the influence of carefully selected oak, allowing its natural fruit character to remain at the forefront. Finished in a combination of sherry casks, predominantly American oak, complemented by a smaller proportion of European oak, it develops layered sweetness, spice, and texture while maintaining balance and clarity. A small proportion of French oak Oloroso butts imparts deeper notes of nuttiness and savoury spice, providing a refined contrast to the softer sweetness derived from American oak Cream Sherry casks.
Balanced, elegant and full of bright fruit, Tormore whisky has always been designed to reflect the warm and welcoming character of the Tormore Distillery. Built in 1959, it was intended as a home for passionate whisky makers that has become known as the “Pearl of Speyside.” For decades, its whisky has been a key component of Scotch blends. Today, under the stewardship of Elixir Distillers, Tormore is positioned firmly as a single malt, with a renewed focus on creating an elegant style of whisky through a considered cask programme and balanced blending approach.
