Bright citrus zest of lemon and orange leads the aroma, with vanilla flirting with clean oak. Banana notes and green apples linger softly in the background, adding a playful fruity lift.

Palate

Initially woody, this palate carries bright citrus notes and sweet oak, backed by malty richness. The balance unfolds with a warm, lingering finish that is gently drying but never harsh.

Finish

Medium-length finish, fruit-forward with a refined echo of oak. A gentle drying note settles on the palate, leaving citrus zest and warm wood to linger gracefully as the whisky fades.

The Macallan
Macallan was founded by Alexander Reid in 1824 on the Easter Elchies Estate above the River Spey, and it was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to become legally licensed. The name comes from the older place name “Maghellan”, combining the Gaelic magh for fertile ground with a reference to St Fillan, who was associated with the church that once stood on the estate. Easter Elchies House, which remains central to the brand’s identity, dates from around 1700 and still sits at the heart of the estate.
