The Macallan Fine & Rare Single Malt Scotch Whisky 15 Year Old · 1947 Vintage
In stock
The Macallan Fine & Rare Collection is the most prestigious range from The Macallan, launched in 2002 to showcase its oldest and most exceptional whiskies.
A curious bottling - this Macallan 1947 was originally bottled for the Italian market in 1962 as a fifteen year-old, before being rebottled as part of the Fine and Rare range. During this period Macallan and other distilleries were forced to use peat in the kilns during the World War 2 period due to the high price of coal.
