Created in collaboration with Bentley Motors, The Macallan Horizon's horizontal vessel defies traditional vertical whisky bottle aesthetics. Inspired by the horizontal trajectory of the automotive world, this vessel represents craftsmanship, creativity and innovation, paying homage to the rich heritage of both The Macallan and Bentley Motors while embracing a forward-looking vision for the future.
Comprised of six materials integral to The Macallan and Bentley Motors, The Macallan Horizon is a testament to the unparalleled craftsmanship and shared dedication to excellence that defines our collaboration.
Meticulously crafted by The Macallan Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell, from six firstfill sherry seasoned oak casks, the whisky has been created to capture the essence of a Bentley. Six individual casks have been selected from the stocks maturing in the warehouses at The Macallan Estate. Expertly combined, each cask brings its own particular characteristics to The Macallan Horizon.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with mahogany depth and coppery highlights.
Nose
Resinous polished oak supports ripe plums and dark cherries, with aromatic leather and leafy herbal notes. A procession of dried fruits—sticky dates, raisins and sultanas—unfolds into cinnamon, nutmeg and a whisper of clove.
Palate
Rich and indulgent on the palate, with dark treacle and cinder toffee upfront, then crystallised ginger and charred pineapple. Sweet vanilla pods and fudge unfold, giving way to dark chocolate-coated Brazil nuts and a warming, lingering oak spice.
Finish
Rich oak dominates the finish, unfolding slowly into a long, complex tapestry. Hints of dark treacle and vanilla persist, interwoven with warm spice and cocoa, leaving a resonant, luxurious afterglow that invites another graceful sip.
