Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep coppery amber with honey-gold highlights.
Nose
Pouring peat floods the nose—smoky, medicinal, and iodine-steeped, with ash and char. Beneath rise vanilla from oak and a bright citrus zest, touched by a salty, maritime edge. At 59.7% ABV the aroma feels fiery and expansive, unveiling resinous peat, cracked pepper, and a faint fruit sweetness that lingers into a dry, mineral finish.
Palate
Dense peat smoke and iodine lead the palate, entwined with creamy vanilla, toasted malt and rich dark chocolate. Oak adds backbone with subtle spice—black pepper and clove—while a resinous, full-bodied mouthfeel coats the tongue. The finish is long and mineral, with citrus zest and a warming, smoky blaze from the high ABV.
Finish
Long, warming finish of thick peat smoke, supported by charred oak and a lingering touch of spice; the peat persists, gradually fading into a warm, subtly sweet resonance.
