Freshly cut grass and orchard apples lead the nose, softened by warm toffee and golden syrup, a luminous, gently sugared aroma that hints at sweetness and richness.

Palate

Silky, velvety mouthfeel with maltiness and sweetness, balanced by black pepper, vanilla and a gentle touch of smoke.

Finish

Pepper-forward spice lingers, with oak and peat smoke weaving through the warmth to a long, refined, smoky finish.

Its name comes from Sir Walter Scott’s 1816 novel The Antiquary, and the whisky became known for its distinctive diamond-shaped bottle, a design introduced in the mid-20th century and retained through later ownership changes.
