Colour

Light straw gold with a delicate, sunlit hue and a touch of honey.

Nose

Peaty, earthy and solid, yet brightened by delicate fresh lemony lime notes. Nicely rounded and malty.

Palate

Mellow yet feisty on the palate, predominantly malty with bright citrus notes coming through, complemented by a gentle peaty touch.

Finish

A soft finish with a gentle, lingering spicy tingle that warms as it fades.

The Antiquary is a blended Scotch whisky with Edinburgh roots, first registered as a brand by J&W Hardie in 1888. Its name comes from Sir Walter Scott’s 1816 novel The Antiquary, and the whisky became known for its distinctive diamond-shaped bottle, a design introduced in the mid-20th century and retained through later ownership changes.
