The Antiquary is a blended Scotch whisky with Edinburgh roots, first registered as a brand by J&W Hardie in 1888. Its name comes from Sir Walter Scott’s 1816 novel The Antiquary, and the whisky became known for its distinctive diamond-shaped bottle, a design introduced in the mid-20th century and retained through later ownership changes.
